We respect your privacy and we only collect what we need to serve you, communicate with you, and run our business.

We may collect the following when you fill out a form, request a quote, call, text, email, or otherwise contact us:

B. Information collected automatically (website/online)

When you use our website, we may automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring/exit pages

  • Approximate location: derived from IP address (generally city/region)

C. Information from third parties

We may receive information from:

  • Service providers that help us run our website, forms, scheduling, or customer communications

2) How We Use Information

We use information for these business purposes:

  • Provide quotes and services (evaluate your needs, plan materials, schedule work)

  • Communicate with you (respond to requests, confirm appointments, follow up)

  • Customer support and operations (recordkeeping, quality control, training)

  • Safety and security (fraud prevention, site security, protecting our rights)

  • Marketing and advertising (promote our services, measure ad performance, improve campaigns)

  • Legal and compliance (tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests)

3) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information in the “here’s a list of customers for cash” sense. But privacy laws can define “sale” broadly in some contexts, including certain advertising disclosures. If we engage in targeted advertising that qualifies as a “sale” under Virginia law, we will treat it as such and provide an opt-out as described below.

We may share information with:

  1. Service providers (processors) who perform services for us, such as website hosting, form tools, analytics, customer management, scheduling, communications, payment processing, or marketing support. They are permitted to use personal data only to provide services to us.

  2. Advertising and analytics partners to measure performance and deliver advertising (see Section 6).

  3. Legal or safety reasons when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect our rights/property, protect customers, or prevent fraud/security issues.

  4. Business transfers if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets (information may be transferred as part of that transaction).

4) Sensitive Data and Children

Sensitive data

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal data (for example: precise geolocation, government IDs, health data, biometric data, or information about a person’s racial/ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or citizenship/immigration status). If we ever need to process “sensitive data” as defined by Virginia law, we will obtain required consent. (Virginia Law)

Children

Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. (Children’s online privacy in the U.S. is regulated under COPPA.) (Federal Trade Commission)

5) Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • providing quotes and services,

  • maintaining business records,

  • resolving disputes,

  • enforcing agreements,

  • meeting legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.

We may retain and use de-identified or aggregated information (information that no longer identifies you) for analytics and business improvement.

6) Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • make the website work,

  • understand how visitors use the site,

  • measure marketing performance,

  • improve our services.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools to understand website traffic and usage patterns.

Targeted advertising

We may use advertising tools (such as pixels) that help us show ads to people who may be interested in our services and measure ad performance.

Virginia opt-out notice: If we process personal data for targeted advertising, or if our disclosures are considered a sale of personal data under Virginia law, Virginia residents may opt out. See Section 9 (Virginia Privacy Rights).

How to opt out (website):

  • Use our request method in Section 9, or

  • Adjust cookie settings in your browser and/or use available opt-out tools (where applicable). (Note: disabling cookies may limit site functionality.)

7) Communications (Calls, Texts, Email)

If you submit your phone number or email, we may contact you about your request, scheduling, and services. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.

You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided (if applicable) or by contacting us.

8) Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping any account access (if applicable) confidential.

For general best practices on protecting personal information, see FTC guidance.

9) Virginia Privacy Rights (VCDPA)

If you are a Virginia resident, you may have the right to:

How to submit a request

Send your request to:

Please include:

  • your name,

  • the best way to contact you,

  • the request you’re making (access/correct/delete/opt-out),

  • and enough information for us to verify your identity.

Verification

To protect your information, we may request additional details to verify your identity and confirm you are a Virginia resident. If we can’t verify your identity, we may deny the request.

Timing and fees

We respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If reasonably necessary, we may extend once by an additional 45 days (and we’ll tell you why). We provide responses free of charge up to twice per year per consumer, unless the request is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us at goatservicesinc@gmail.com with the subject line: “VCDPA Appeal.” We will respond within the timeframe required by law and provide you with information on additional steps you may take.

Our website may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their policies.

12) Changes to This Policy
